Ethical Considerations
- Human and Animal Rights: Research involving human participants or animals must have approval from an institutional ethics committee. Authors must include a statement confirming compliance with ethical standards and approval.
- Informed Consent: For case reports and studies involving human subjects, authors must confirm that written informed consent was obtained from all participants or their guardians.
- Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could bias their work.
- Plagiarism: Submissions are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity indexes will be returned or rejected.
Submission Process: Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors will need to create an account and upload their manuscripts in a step-by-step process. The system allows authors to track the status of their submission and receive editorial feedback.
Peer Review: Annals of Cardiology operates a double-blind peer-review process. Authors are expected to anonymize their manuscript by removing any identifying information before submission. The review process typically takes 6-8 weeks, after which authors will receive a decision, which may include revisions.
Post-Acceptance: Upon acceptance, manuscripts will undergo copyediting and formatting. Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication. Articles are published online first and then included in the upcoming issue.
Author Contributions: Authors must specify their contributions to the manuscript (e.g., study conception, data analysis, writing). Only individuals who have significantly contributed to the work should be listed as authors.
Copyright and Licensing Policy: All articles published in Annals of Cardiology are licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). This license allows others to freely download, distribute, and reproduce the article in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited, and appropriate credit is given to the authors and the journal. Authors retain the copyright to their work, while granting the journal a license to publish and distribute the article.
