Peer Review
Annals of Cardiology follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts. This process includes the following steps:
- Initial Submission and Screening: Upon submission, manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal's guidelines and scope.
- Assignment of Reviewers: Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers based on their subject matter expertise.
- Double-Blind Review: Both the authors' and reviewers' identities are kept confidential to ensure unbiased feedback.
- Review Feedback: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for originality, scientific rigor, clinical relevance, and clarity. They provide feedback, suggestions for improvements, and recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' comments, the editorial board makes the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
- Post-Acceptance: Accepted articles undergo copyediting and formatting before publication.
